During my latest wandering up to Oxford I discovered a wonderful stash of rustic, wooden, trestle tables. Perfect for our ‘Wedding in a field’ this August!
You could say they’re perfect just the way they are, a little worn maybe? that just adds to that rustic feel. Possibly in need of a gorgeous burlap runner? Hmmmm, yes but I want to do something different! Of course, it’s me and I’ve always got to think of something just that little bit different to the obvious.
So here I am with these gorgeous trestle tables just pleading to be upcycled and I’ve been wracking my brain.
What to do that’s subtle, yet wonderful and within budget?
At first I stumbled across gorgeous vinatge 1930’s French wall paper on etsy and thought about covering the table tops but I knew I needed some of the rustic wood to show through. Then, this week, I read an inspiring post on a favourite of mine, www.sfgirlbybay.com who had posted an item by the jealous curator and what a creative gem it is!
Hi and welcome to my blog! I hope you’ll enjoy it here in my world of ‘Deer little forest.’ We think it’s the best place in the world and I look forward to regularly updating with scribbles, home-grown treasures and delightful finds. See you soon…
